Lip blushing

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeupEssentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed. The filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and gives the illusion of fuller lips. Does include touch up session within 6-8 weeks free of charge for 1.5 hour application time.

What is Lip Blush?

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lips’ natural tint and shape, giving them a boost and a glossy touch. It’s designed to define and outline your lips, not to actually make them fuller. It gives the illusion that they’re fuller, but in a very natural way.

How is a Lip Blush done?

A tiny pen-like machine using a tiny acupuncture needle is used to gently insert pixels of pigment into the lips to slowly build a nice natural lip color. This allows us to build the color gradually so we have full control over how bold you want your lips to be.

Does Lip Blush hurt?

Immediately after the procedure, your lips will be swollen. This typically lasts about one day. They also look more like a pretty lipstick color, and less like lip balm, for a few days. They fade significantly, about 50%, within a week. Healing is extremely easy – typically 4-5 days of tight, chapped lips. You can use Aquaphor often and they look great while they heal!

How long does Lip Blush take?

There are several stages which include; numbing, outlining the lips, and the actual process of Tattooing. This usually takes roughly 2-3 hours.

What colors are available for Lip Blush?

A wide range of tones in the pink, coral, and red families are available to create a customized shade. This will be determined with your artist prior to the beginning.

What happens after Lip Blush?

Like any tattoo, swelling and redness are unavoidable. You may experience an intensified vibrancy from the pigment causing a temporary boldness to your lips. As they heal, the swelling will desist, the vibrancy will settle, and the color will restore to a natural finish.

Is there downtime for Lip Blush?

It takes around 5 to 10 days for the lips to heal after a lip blushing procedure. Be aware that the color will vary quite a lot during the healing process before reaching the final color that you agreed upon with your permanent makeup artist.

How will I know if I need a touch-up?

The best results generally come from a two-step process. Touch-ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly. Healed results are unique to each client and we do our best to create a consistent experience. Touch-ups are beneficial for layering the pigment for more saturation and must be completed within 6-8 weeks. Additional touch-ups can be done every 12-18 months to ensure your results are as bold and vivid as the day you got them.

How long does Lip Blush last?

Lip Blush lasts about 2-3 years on average before it’s mostly or completely gone, though it’s possible it could last longer or fade more quickly depending on how closely you follow the after-care and how well you protect your investment by taking care of your lips. Most people will get a touch up around once per 12-18 months, depending on the desired look!

who is a good candidate for lip blush

The simple answer is, anyone that wants to have a more youthful appearance, with bigged looking, more defined natural lips everyday!

That would include busy parents or business people who don’t have much time to apply makeup, active people who don’t want to worry about sweating off makeup while working out or swimming, or any person who struggles with getting that perfect shape that the celebrities and YouTube makeup artists always seem to have.

Any person who has lips that look the same color as their skin, and those who have white spots on their lips.

Lip Filler can be expensive and it doesn’t last long for some people. So for many, Lip Blush will result in a similar look that lasts longer which only increases the value of the service.

Let Jennifique Lashes Brows & Beauty do all the work for you!

lip blush aftercare

While it’s critical you follow aftercare procedures perfectly as prescribed by your artist, with Lip Blush it’s highly important you follow these aftercare guidelines as best you can. The longevity of your results depends on it! The big NO-NO’s are:

Do not use whitening toothpaste during the healing process.

Do not pick at your scabs.

Below is a day by day of the best practices to take care of your beautiful new lips:

Day 1:

Avoid extremely hot foods and drinks with a straw. Wipe your lips with moist cotton round every 30 minutes for the next 3 hours and apply aquaphor. Removing this fluid will prevent the formation of thick scabs. After 3 hours wipe your lips every 2 hours until bedtime and apply aquaphor.

Day 2:

Wipe your lips 4-6 times per day and keep them moist with aquaphor.

Day 3:

Wipe your lips every AM and PM and keep them moist with aquaphor. By now lips should be fully exfoliated. Keep them protected from the sun.
